Our March 2026 ANARE Club Online Zoom Event, featuring the AANBUS Building System, will be presented by Max Dietrich to the ANARE Club on Tuesday 24 March, 2:00 pm AEDT (0300 UTC).

The presentation will open with an historical account of development of the system, known as AANBUS in the late 70’s to early 80’s, used for constructing buildings at our mainland Antarctica stations.

The second half will cover the experience of some Expeditioners including skilled Tradespeople, Architectural and Engineering Designers working for the Department of Housing and Construction and the experiences of Building Projects at the Antarctic Stations during the Summers and Winters of ’82 and ’86 at Casey and Mawson.
