Phil Law Medal
The Phillip Law Medal has been established by the ANARE Club to celebrate the life and achievements of Dr Phillip Garth Law, the Club’s founder and patron. The Medal was first awarded in 2011. Dr Law was founding Director of the Australian Antarctic Division, a position in which he served from 1949 until 1966. He was a major influence in Antarctic affairs as a leader, explorer and administrator.
Club Berth
The ANARE Club supports applications from Members to participate in the Club Berth Voyage generously offered by the Australian Antarctic Division. Applications should be endorsed by the Branch (or National) Presidents.
Applications close 30 June each year.
ANARE SKI CLUB
The ANARE Ski Club Inc. is an incorporated not for profit organisation independent from the ANARE Club.
Their aim is to promote and encourage active participation in alpine activities throughout the year. To provide low cost accommodation and access to skiing facilities, and all year round activities at Mt Baw Baw, and to provide this accommodation in a family friendly environment including sharing of facilities with club members and their families and friends and others.
