ANARE Club Members will remember Geoff and his Wife Fay (she was heavily involved with ANARE Wives for many years). Geoff lived out at Toolern Vale and loved old motor bikes. He wintered Wilkes ’63 and Mawson 66.

Another old timer has gone – Geoff Butterworth was a radio officer at Wilkes in 1963 and radio officer in charge at Mawson in 1966. A former Melbourne PMG telegraphist and supervisor, Geoff turned 97 one day before he passed in October 2024. A thorough gentleman and friend for nearly 70 years.
