A unique piece of Australian Antarctic history.
Offered for auction is a beautifully crafted one-third scale replica of the ship’s bell of RSV Nuyina — Australia’s Antarctic research and resupply vessel and the flagship of the Australian Antarctic Program.
This is no mass-produced souvenir. The bell has been hand cast in Queensland by Olds Engineering, using traditional gun metal, fitted with a hand-turned hardwood handle, and individually hand engraved. It was produced to commemorate both RSV Nuyina and the 75th anniversary of the ANARE Club.
For Antarctic expeditioners, maritime enthusiasts, collectors and supporters of Australia’s Antarctic program, this is a genuinely distinctive piece with a direct connection to Australia’s modern Antarctic story.
