Over the years the Club has received donated collections of Antarctic related books from Club members and now needs to reduce these book holdings from the point view of space requirements.

The National Council has decided that these books should now be catalogued and be offered to Financial Club members who wish to add particular books to their own collections.

The books will be released in tranches.  This tranche of 175 books listed below are duplicate holdings.

Books are broadly categorised as:

1. • A – Of Significant Australian Antarctic Interest, e.g. ANARE, AAE, BANZARE ($30+)
   • B – Of General Australian Antarctic Interest ($20+)
   • C – Of General Antarctic Interest ($10+)

Accordingly, Members should browse the Catalogue link above (listed alphabetically by Author) and complete the Offer Form, including an indicative the price you would be prepared to bid for the selected book(s).  After the closing date (Friday 29^th May 2026) each book will be sold to its highest bidder.

The books are ‘as received’ – some are first editions, may be signed by the Author, with/without dust wrapper, hard back or paper back.  A broad indicative price range is listed.  The minimum price will be $10; or in multiples of $5 dollars, up to $50 plus postage.

The Club is prepared to release the selected books at a fair and reasonable price, bearing in mind that the member will have to bear the cost of postage, which the Club will select at the most economical rate. For Victorian Members it may be possible to arrange a pick up at Brian Harvey’s premises in Cheltenham. Please indicate your interest in this arrangement on the Offer Form.

All Proceeds from the sale of these books will be used to offset 75^th Anniversary celebration costs.
